Speaking during the two-day outreach, which coincided with October’s global Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Dr. Shiraz emphasized that health awareness must go beyond information to action.

“It is one thing to know that cancer exists and another thing to check for it. The earlier we detected, the easier we can treat, naturally and effectively,” he said.

As a respected herbal medical practitioner and partner of Majesty Legacy Herbal Centre, Dr. Shiraz rendered consultancy services and supervised several aspects of the screening process, including blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, pulse, and BMI checks, while providing valuable insights on the link between lifestyle, nutrition, and disease prevention.

He also explained how herbal therapies can complement modern diagnostic approaches, making healthcare more accessible to communities that rely on traditional medicine. Participants were not only screened but also treated for various ailments. Dr. Shiraz’s dedication to community wellness reflects a broader goal: to demystify herbal medicine and position it as a credible, regulated, and science-informed option for preventive care and healing in Ghana. His contribution during the “Check It. Catch It. Cure It.” campaign demonstrated that knowledge, action, and compassion remain the foundation of effective healthcare delivery, both herbal and modern.
